The 3rd Australian International Chopin Piano Competition ended yesterday with three fabulous winners!
1st Prize Winner — Edwin (Sungpil) Kim from Korea but living in the USA
2nd Prize and People’s Choice Prize Winner - Konstantin Khachikyan from Russia
3rd Prize Winner including Best Scherzo— Shaun Choo from Singapore
Edwin wins $25,000 from the Pratt Foundation including a study and recital tour of Poland learning from Chopin interpreters as well as performing at Zelazowa Wola, Chopin’s birthplace.
Come and hear Edwin at the Utzon Room, Sydney Opera House TOMORROW TUESDAY @ 7.00PM. The Friends of Chopin Australia are offering 50 gratis tickets to the Polish community for their support of the Australian International Chopin Piano Competition [3AICPC17].
