Mushroom Picking Picnic - CANCELLED

Dear Friends of The Polish School of Sydney,

 

As you might already be aware, the Australian government recommended against any “non-essential” events with more than 500 people to be cancelled in order to slow the spread of the coronavirus. The recommendation will come into effect tomorrow, on Monday.

 

At the Polish School of Sydney safety of our students, staff members and the wider community has always been our priority. Protecting our school community is at the forefront of any decision making so we would therefore like to inform you that, due to the concerns surrounding the rapid spread of coronavirus, the School Committee decided to cancel the annual Mushroom Picking Picnic event this year.

This event usually attracts about 350 registered participants and several more who join our event without a pre-purchased ticket. We believe that despite the fact that the event is likely not to exceed the recommended cut off number, it will be in everybody’s best interest to minimise the unnecessary contact with others.

 

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and for disappointing our youngest participants in particular who always look forward to this event with great anticipation. 

 

We invite anyone who has already purchased tickets to provide us with banking details so we can process full refunds.

Annual mushroom picking picnic

15-te GRZYBOBRANIE Z „POLSKĄ SZKOŁĄ W RANDWICK”

W tym roku odbedzie sie juz pietnaste grzybobranie organizowane przez Szkole Polska w Randwick. Miłośnicy zapachu leśnych owoców zaproszeni sa na wspolny piknik w Belanglo State Forest w niedziele 8 kwietnia 2018 roku.

Tegoroczny piknik uswietniony bedzie wieloma atrakcjami takimi jak: konkurs na najwiekszego grzyba i raka, zabawy sprawnosciowe dla dzieci, poszukiwanie czekoladowych jajek, bbq i zdjecie grupowe. W cenie biletu, po powrocie z leśnej wędrówki na wszystkich bedzie czekal gorący posiłek: grillowane kiełbaski z cebulką, napoje oraz na deser polskie pączki. Bilety w cenie $15 od osoby sa do nabycia w Szkole Polskiej w Randwick badz za uprzednia rezerwacja z organizatorami pikniku.

Enrolment at The Polish School of Sydney

Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

As 2017 school year is slowly approaching we would like to be ready and prepared for all our students when they arrive on 4 February at 9 am.

This email is just a quick reminder that all students need to enrol every school year prior to attending the first class. Thank you to all who enrolled already.

AaKooKoo Playgroup

Our playgroup caters for children aged 0-3 and their parents / carers. There is no need for formal enrolment in order to attend our sessions.

Starting Pre-school                         

Your child can start Pre-school at the beginning of the school year if they turn three on or before 31 January 2017 and are fully toilet trained.  Because students start new work in their new class at the beginning of the school year, it would be an advantage for your child both socially and educationally, to start school as soon as possible in the new year. We do however accept enrolment throughout the year if places are available.

Primary School
In 2017 our school offers the following classes in the primary school sector: Kindergarten, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5/6, Beginners Junior, Beginners Senior.

Courses for Adults

Our school offers adult courses on beginners, intermediate and advanced levels. As student numbers vary from term to term,  financial commitment is needed prior to the start of the course. This enables us to secure the correct number of teachers and classrooms.

Petycja w sprawie zamknięcia szkoły średniej w Randwick

Szanowni Państwo,

Serdecznie dziękuję tym którzy znaleźli czas aby poprzeć naszą inicjatywę sprzeciwienia się zamknięciu szkoły średniej w Randwick i podpisali się pod petycją.

Dla tych którzy tego jeszcze nie uczynili, dla przypomnienia ponownie wysyłam prośbę o podpisanie się pod petycja mającą na celu odwołanie decyzji o zamknięciu szkoły średniej w Randwick.

Jak Państwo zapewne wiedzą, zamknięcie SSCL - Randwick ma wiele negatywnych stron, ale przede wszystkim uniemożliwiłoby uczniom Szkoły Polskiej w Sydney kontynuację nauki języka polskiego na poziomie szkoły średniej bądź wiązałoby się z uciążliwym dojazdem do najbliższego ośrodka SSCL w Ashfield.

Jest to niezmiernie ważne aby w tej chwili za wszelką cenę nie dopuścić do zamknięcia tego ośrodka gdyż powołanie takiej instytucji do  ponownego działania po latach przerwy graniczy z cudem. W wielkiej mierze zależy to od Was! Od tego czy znajdziecie 30 sekund na to aby podpisać się pod petycją skierowaną do Ministra Edukacji jak i zachęcić wszystkich członków rodziny, przyjaciół i znajomych aby również to uczynili. To nie ma znaczenia czy osoba podpisująca petycję jest w danej chwili powiązana z jedną z tych szkół, cel jest o wiele ważniejszy i dotyczy wszystkich którzy popierają i szanują wielokulturowość w Australii, rozumieją potrzeby etnicznych społeczności i doceniają naukę języków obcych.

W tej chwili mamy zaledwie 720 podpisów co naprawdę nie reprezentuje możliwości polskiej społeczności. Aby wywrzeć wrażenie na Ministrze Edukacji i Ministrze Wielokulturowości takich podpisów potrzebujemy kilka tysięcy.

The Polish School of Sydney once again is coordinating a very popular event:

Picnic in the Southern Highlands, Belanglo State Forest

 

on Sunday 29 March 2015

 

There will be a b. b. q., Easter Egg Hunt for children, a group photo and all day catching yabbies and of course mushroom picking.  As always the biggest yabby and the biggest mushroom win the prize money. We will be weighing them all day! It is a great opportunity for parents and friends to socialise, so bring your family and friends for a relaxing day out! 

 

Schedule for the day:

·      We meet at the picnic site at approx. 10.30 am.

·      Lunch is served from about 12.30 to-2.30 pm.

·      Group photo around 2.00 pm. 

·      Biggest catch of the day and Easter Egg Hunt will follow after lunch.
